Mrs Braddyll
Portrait of Mrs Jane Braddyll. She was the daughter and sole heir of Matthias Gale of Catgill Hall, Cumberland. In 1776 she married her cousin, Wilson Gale (1755"1818) of Conishead Priory. Shewas painted by Reynolds in 1788. Surprisingly, the 4th Marquess of Hertford purchased it sight unseen
