The Particular Service Squadron in Bantry Bay, Ireland. Assembled as part of a fleet for Baltic operations, primarily against their Russian counterparts. The three sketches depict naval manoeuvres, the first of their kind, taking place from June-July 1885. Top Left: a field of torpedoes is sown. Top Right: An accident aboard the ship Leander, and her appearance the following morning. Bottom: a simulated attack on the Conquest from a torpedo boat
