Proposed plans to widen London Bridge
Drawings show the proposed plan to widen London Bride. It could not accommodate how many people were walking over it, the city corporation intended to make it larger. Increase from 9ft 6inch to 14ft and to put electric lights on it, at a cost around 100, 000. The engravings at the top, are reproductions of Hollar's engravings which showed the old structure which was built in 1176 and pulled down in 1832
