It was the image that gave John his big break as a professional photographer being the first of his portfolio that major magazines started to buy. After the success of this photo John worked steadily for the major magazines of the day for more than a decade. The image, and several others taken at the same time, were extensively published in Europe and in Picture Post and Functional Photography, among others at the time
