1968 - Press Facility visit to the Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment: There was a press facility visit to the Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment, Boscombe Down, which is responsible for the evaluation of fixed and rotary wing airport, aircraft equipment and systems before entry into the Services. Work includes the investigations of those parameters of the flight envelope of new and modified yet to be proved to determine that operational requirements can be met and achieved with safety.
