Dec. 12, 1952 - He designed Britain's newest and greatest bomber, The handley page 80 Greatest in the world'; Britain's newest bomber - the H.P. 80 was taken off the secret list over Christmas and it is claimed to be the most remarkable jet airplane in the world today. It is a Crescent wing four jet bomber. It is designed to carry on Atom bomb load at the speed of sound thus making it extremely difficult for any fighter to get within striking distance. The Machine build and designed by the Handley Page Company is fitted with Sapphire Jet engines is under super priority construction for the Air Ministry and was designed by Mr. Reginald Spencer Stafford.
