May 05, 1967 - The Bee Gees celebrate; The Bee Gees are in high spirits following the news that the two Australian members of the group, Vince Malouney, and Colin Petersen, are after all allowed to stay in Britain. Vince and Colin who came here almost a year ago to the day were told that they must quit Britain by November 30 because the Home Office were refusing to extend their portraits beyond that date. But maybe someone int he Home Office is a Bee Gee fan because news came last night that the boys were to be allowed to stay in Britain without further restrictions. This is lucky for all the Bee Gee fans because he other three members of the group who have British passports, Barry, Mammics and Robin Gibb, had threatened to leave this country if Vince and Colin had to go. So what with being currently in the No. 1 position a the British charts with Massachusetts and further success to look forward to in this country without any restrictions certainly cause to celebrate.
