Photo Shows: 28-year old Elizabeth Shepherd, who comes from Bristol - and who is to replace Cathy Gale as John Steed's partner in ITV's series The Avengers'. Actor Patrick Macnee, who plays secret agent Steed in the series, lost Cathy to James Bond when actress Honor Blackman went off to film Goldfinger. Elizabeth will be assistant Avenger when the series returns in the New Year. She will not be called Cathy Gale. Producer Julian Wintle is thinking of calling her Emma something. And she will not take over Cathy's outfit of black leather suits and boots
