Honor Blackman, actress, to appear in James Bond film

Jan. 01, 1964 - Cathy joins the ranks of Bond's girls'.: Actress Honor Blackman who plays Cathy Gale, the all-leather clad, judo practising secret agent in television's the Avengers, has landed a 10, 000 contract to become Secret Agent 007 James Bond's new girlfriend. She will star opposite Sean Connery, who plays James Bond, in Ian Fleming's thriller Goldfinger'. In the film she will play the part of Pussy Galore, lieutenant and pilot to an international gold smuggler, and like her television part, she will once more be a tough-girl.
