Jazz fans inspect vintage cars, Beaulieu motor museum
Jul. 07, 1960 - Teenage Jazz Fans In Riot At Lord Montague's Jazz Festival At Beaulieu Palace: Teenage rioters wrecked the first night of Lord Montague of Beaulieu's jazz festival at his stately home in Hampshire last night. They stormed the bandstand, forcing off Acker Bilk's jazz band, and climbed up a TV lighting stand which collapsed under their weight. Three teenagers were taken to hospital. Police from all over the district were called in to control the 9, 000 strong crowd and clear the Palace grounds.
