Jun. 06, 1976 - Two bombs exploded at headquarters of the 5th Army Corps in Frankfurt: 16 persons injured: Two bombs exploded in the building of the headquarters of the 5th US Army Corps in Frankfurt on June 1st 1976, injuring 16 persons, from which one seriously. The first bomb exploded on 1.20 pm in the first intermediate storey, some minutes later another bomb exploded at the officer's club. The American military police have taken three men into custody. It is supposed that the bombs were laid by anarchists, since the attempt was made exactly four years after the arrest of Andreas Baader, Holger Meins and Jan Carl Raspe of the Baader/Meinhof Group. Photo shows military police and West German police in action in front of the headquarters of the 5th US Army Corps after the explosions
