Nubar Gulbenkian and secretary in corner cafe, London
Jul. 07, 1962 - The Millionaire Has A Corner-House Cuppa: Mr. Nubar Gulbenkian, 66-year-old picturesquely white-beared oil-millionaire and son of the Greek tycoon who left a 5 million trust to charity, took his secretary to a corner-house cafeteria and bought two 5d cups of tea, yesterday. It was the end of the third day in his case against BBC in which he is asking for a telerecording of an interview he made in which he criticised his father's trustees. The case has been highlighted with gourmetic luncheons which arrive at the Law Courts from the tycoon's favourite West End restaurant. On Monday, he had smoked salmon and caviar in trumpets, on Tuesday it was Lobster and yesterday there was quail and chicken. Wearing a red and white orchid in his buttonhole, Mr. Gulbenkian seems to be enjoying the case better than anyone. Photo shows Tea for two - at 5d each, for Mr. G and his secretary yesterday. The immaculately rolled umbrella with 18 ct. gold band is laid on the table
