May 05, 1958 - New animals for aquarium of Berlin and Dusseldorf: A rare freight yesterday on May 28, 1958 by plane was arriving at the airport Dusseldorf-Lohausen, a crate with four living crocodiles, which a Berlin journalist was carrying home from Brazil for the aquarium of Dusseldorf and Berlin. Miss Ursula Heisinger, who herself was capturing these animals together with some Red Indians, for some time was living in the Amazonas district. During the night the animals are dazzled with a torch, it is necessary to recognise the length of the animal, a wrong estimation may be fatal. Gripping it round the neck and the tail, it then will be put into the boat. Of the four crocodiles two will stay in Dusseldorf and two will go to Berlin. The animals are about 1 to 1.5 years old and 40 to 60 cm long. In about 15 years they will reach a length of about 5 metres.
