Benares on the Ganges, by Hubert Cornish (1757-1832). Painted during a trip made by Lady Teignmouth and her party to the Sunderbans, Bengal. Cornish was brother-in-law and Secretary to the Governor-General of India, the first Lord Teignmouth.
