Hengler's Circus - Water Pantomime 1891
Hengler's Grand Water Pantomime, in Argyll Street, near London's Oxford Circus. Taken from the successful show La Grenouilliere, in Paris. The performance in London was effected by lining the ring with stout mackin-osh sheeting, the tank thus formed being filled from two enormous pipes with 23, 000 gallons of water in thirty-five seconds
