Meeting between Sir Henry Morton Stanley (1841 - 1904), (on left, raising hat) and David Livingstone (1813 - 1873) (on right, raising hat) at Ujiji, Tanganyika, 10th November 1871. Stanley, a British-American explorer and journalist, had been sent by James Gordon Bennett to find Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explorer, who had not made contact with other Europeans for some time
