Front cover supplement in The Illustrated London News, October 1875. Eldest son of Queen Victoria, Prince of Wales's (later Edward VII), embarked on an extensive tour of the Indian subcontinent. Prince visited more than 21 towns, from October 1875, returning to England in May 1876
