Seen here in the grounds of Reading University with RH Stoughton, Professor of Horticulture, and (in the background) Sir Samuel Hoare (later Viscount Templewood), Conservative politician and Chancellor of Reading University. Chamberlain was there to receive an honorary Litt.D. and is seen here examining grapes growing in the university grounds
