17th Century map of the County of Devonshire, England
John Speed's decorative map of Devonshire 1611 shows the coats of arms of the families dignified with the title of Devonshire and those dignified with the title of Exeter'. It has an inset plan of Exeter with a key to sites. Othere decorations are a compass rose, dividers and and a title cartouche. There is a mistake on the map as the Stonehouse area and Mount Edgecombe should have been part of Devon at that time and here they are shown in Cornwall
