17th Century map of the County of Shropshire, England
John Speed's county map of Shropshire 1611 has lovely strapwork decorating the title of this map. It also contains two coats of arms. At the top right hand side of the map is a town plan of Shrewsbury with a key to its sites and there is also a vignette of the Battle of Oldfield fought in 1403
