This map of the North and East Ridings of Yorkshire by John Speed 1611 is drawn on quite a small scale fitting the map area between town plans of Hull and Richmond. There are 2 sections with coats of arms of Earls of Richmond and Holderness that have held these titles since the Norman Conquest. There is a decorative title cartouche and scale surmounted by two cherubs with a pair of dividers
