Mrs Chandos Leigh by Madame Yevonde
Mrs Chandos Leigh (d.1966), formerly Miss Winifred Madeline Jeffrys, who married Major Chandos Leigh in 1912. Her husband received the D.S.O but was killed in the first few weeks of the First World War. Winifred spent 12 months working with the YMCA in France during 1917-18. She later married Sir Christopher Magnay
