Thomas Cochrane at home

Major Thomas Cochrane is the fortunate owner of a beautiful villa, the Villa Reve d'Or, at Cannes, where these photographs were taken. One of the features of the house is the wonderful workshop where Major Cochrane spends a good deal of his time. He is a clever artist-mechanic, and is an adept at making beautiful little boxes and other small objects from the ivory tusks he has brought home from his big-game shooting expeditions
