1935 Lagonda M45R (Rapide) T9, CGO 62

1935 Lagonda M45R (Rapide) T9, CGO 62, at HMS Sultan, near Gosport. This fabulous Lagonda Rapide, car No. Z11450, is the embodiment of mid-thirties English motoring at its finest; the new M45R model was based on a 10ft 3inch chassis mated to a Meadows six-cylinder 4.5 liter engine capable of a healthy 120bhp. When fitted with the open four seat tourer T9 coachwork the list price in 1935 was circa equivalent to the cost of a small house
