Westland-Sikorsky S-51 Mk.1A G-ALEG
Westland-Sikorsky S-51 Mk.1A G-ALEG (c - n WA - H - 2). The second Westland-built S-51 seen here fitted with the Pest Control Ltd. Spray bars, tanks and counter-balance at the 1949 Farnborough SBAC show, in September 1949. First flown on 19 December 1948, the C.ofA. was issued on 26 April 1949 and it was retained by Westland for development flying. Later it was sold to the Ministry of Supply on 9 November 1951, as Westland Dragonfly HC.2 WZ749 , for evaluation at the A&AEE Boscombe Down, before being written of on 26 September 1952
