First flown on 29 April 1969, N8434 was delivered to American Airlines on 9 May 1969, flying with American till February 1981. Sold to GIA (Global International Airways) N8434 was written off on4 December 1982 at SBBR Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport in Brazil, after an emergency landing with the gear up
