Boeing XB-29G Superfortress , General Electric engine test-bed with a J47 in the bomb-bay mounted retractable trapeze at Schenectady County Airport, NY, the home base for General Electric engine testing. Bell-Atlanta B-29B-55-BA Superfortress, built under licence by Bell Aircraft Company, Marietta, Atlanta, GA. delivered to the United States Army Air Force on 26 June 45 but converted to the XB-29G flying test bed for General Electric jet engines. Damaged by fire on 27 July 53 at Schenectady County Airport, NY and scrapped there on 27 May 54
