Boulton Paul Balliol prototype VL935
Boulton Paul Balliol 3rd prototype VL935 at the 1948 Farnborough SBAC show, in company with Avro Athena prototype VW890. the four Balliol prototypes were to be powered by Armstrong-Siddeley Mamba turboprop engines, but the production aircraft were fitted with Rolls-Royce Merlin 35 V-12 engines (the fourth Mamba powered protoype was not built)
