de Havilland DH.106 Comet 1XB G-APAS (msn 6022, ex F-BGNZ / XM823 / 8351M), at the RAF Museum Cosford / Aerospace Museum Cosford. (Note: despite being painted with BOAC livery, this aircraft never flew with them). The last of the initial variant, G-APAS was delivered to Air France as F-BGNZ, but returned to the Ministry of Supply when the Comets were grounded, converted to 1XB standard and operated as XM823. When retired from flying it was allocated to No.2 School of Technical Training at RAF Cosford with the maintenance serial 8351M, from where it transferred to the RAF Museum collection
