Johnson Special N2E Betty Jo formula one racer; race number 51 - Information: :- Two midget racers were designed and built by Luther Johnson ca 1948, both powered by an 85hp Continental C85; span: 17'4" length: 16'4". (Carolina Aviation) Betty Jo N2E was piloted by Charles Barton in 1948 and re-appeared in 1949 races as the Sheldon Special, piloted by L C Sheldon. (The saecond aircraft was named Idle Hours and registered N5E)
