KV-1 Shielded heavy tank
A Soviet KV-1 Shielded heavy tank, knocked out by German anti-tank fire, with damaged indicated by an invading German soldier. The KV-1 Shielded was a standard KV-1 with additional armour riveted onto the turret and parts of the hull. The extra armour can be seen on the side of the turret. (The Kliment Voroshilov (KV) tanks are a series of Soviet heavy tanks named after the Soviet defence commissar and politician Kliment Voroshilov)
