June 1945: TOS by USAAF and saw brief action in WWI as a fighter in the Pacific theatre.Ca.July 1945 converted to P-38M-6-LO night fighter but never used in that role. 25 March 1946 - NX62887. 25 June 1948-1951 - N62887. June 1952 - CF-GDS 23 May 1956-1959 - N1107V.September 1959 - YV-C-BAR in Venezuela.1961 - 1973 N1107V. 1973 - N3800L - Restored, fitted with P-38E nose from MGM studios and maintained airworthy, displayed as Richard Bongs 210399/597/Marge
