Lockheed P-80R 44-85200 "Racey"

Lockheed P-80R "Racey" (msn ), at the USAF Museum on Wright-Patterson AFB. The 81st production P-80A-1-LO was used to create the one-off experimental XP-80B. After its flight test phase was over it was parked. When the USAAF wanted to make an assault on the world speed record it decided to use the XP-80B for that purpose. After it was modified it was re-designated P-80R
