Neilson NC-1 Golden Bear - aka Coach NC883E

Neilson NC-1 Golden Bear (aka Coach) X883E (later NC883E), built by the (Thomass and Duncan S) Neilsen Steel Aircraft Co, Berkeley CA. at Berkeley airport around the time of its first flight.
The NC-1 was a 3-seat cabin monoplane powered by a 130hp Comet 7-D radial engine. Designed by Richard Korman as a fabric-covered high-wing monoplane, the NC-1 was first flown in 1929, survived until it was destroyed by an angry crowd at a thrill show at Oakland Speedway in Aug 1939 after its performance failed to meet their expectations
