North American YF-100A Super Sabre 52-5754 (msn 180-1), the first prototype F-100 with test pilot Joseph Walker posing in the cockpit, probably at Edwards Air Force Base. Joseph Walker was killed when the F-104 Starfighter he was flying was caught in wing-tip vortices from the number2 XB-70, dragging his f-104 over the wing of the XB-70 and removing its vertical stabilisers. Joe walker was killed almost instantly but only one of the XB-70 flight crew survived his ejection
