Royal Air Force Armstrong Whitworth A.W.38 Whitley Mk.III. The Tiger engined Mk.III was no longer used operationally by September 1941. On this example, in use as a paratroop carrier for training at a Parachute Training School, can be seen the hole left by removal of the retractable dustbin turret, used by the prospective paratroops to exit the aircraft - 20th September, 1941
