Royal Air Force - Avro Lancaster B.VI, one of nine aircraft converted from B.IIIs, fitted with Rolls-Royce Merlin 85/87 which had two-stage superchargers, giving much improved high altitude performance. Used by Pathfinder squadrons for a short period, survivors were relegated to secondary duties
