Vickers Varsity T.1 VX828, - 1st prototype flown on 17 July 1949 from Wisley aerodrome. Flight testing and production was carried out rapidly with first deliveries of production aircraft to No.201 Advanced Flying School at RAF Swinderby, near Lincoln (incidentally where I did my basic training in 1974)
