Walsh and Clark Victoria oil ploughing engine

Walsh and Clark oil ploughing engine, built by Walsh and Clarke of Guiseley, at Weeting in 1991.
The company was begun in 1913 by Russell Clark and Harry Walsh, they manufactured engines which ran on oil/paraffin rather than steam.
This engine only needed refuelling once a week, it won a silver medal in the New Implement Section at the Royal Show in 1915.
Some of the specifications were 70hp at 320 RPM, engine 180 deg opposed 2-cylinder, fuel:- oil or paraffin, 2 forward gears and 1 reverse, weight 6 tons.
By 1925 these engines were superseded by electric motors and the company ceased production. Like many of the early oil / paraffin engined tractors and ploughing engines the engine was cooled by water which was cooled by airflow induced by the engine exhaust through a radiator
