Five polar bears on holiday at London Zoo
Visitors to London Zoo in 1911 were attracted to the bear pits where five young performing bears, the property of Doris del Monte of Copenhagen, were spending a week's holiday. The bears can be seen here enjoying the pool. The bears came from Tromso, Norway, and were four years old
