Barn House at Whitstable, Kent, Queen Mary's Coronation gift of a holiday home for working girls in connection with the London Girl's Club Union, of which she was patroness. During the First World War it became a 30-bed Voluntary Aid Detachment Hospital. Seen here soon after Queen Mary announced that she intended to donate a monetary Coronation gift of 12, 500 sent to her from the Marys of the Empire
