Aerial view of Aston Union's cottage homes which were opened in 1899 at Erdington, Birmingham. They housed pauper children away from the main workhouse which occupied an adjacent site. As well as the children's cottages, the homes included a school, infirmary, chapel, swimming bath, and workshops
