Mary Catherine Lyttleton
Mary Catherine Lyttleton (d. 1875), subject of the Palm Sunday Case. She fell in love with the Conservative politician Arthur James Balfour, but died on 21 March 1875 (Palm Sunday) before discovering his intentions. Over the next 30 years or more, members of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) claimed to have received messages from her to Balfour via various mediums
