Royal visit to Egypt on HMS Medina
The HMS Medina at Port Said, Egypt, with King George V and Queen Mary on board, ready to receive the Khedive. The royal couple had already visited India and Nepal in 1911 for the Coronation Durbar, and the visit to Egypt was made on the way home. In this photograph the Royal Standard can be seen on the main mast, and the Egyptian Standard on shore on the Customs House (see: 12008500)
