Sir Edward Elgar
Sir Edward William Elgar, 1st Baronet, OM, GCVO (1857-1934), English composer. He composed oratorios, chamber music, symphonies, instrumental concertos, and songs, and was appointed Master of the King's Musick in 1924. He is best known for the Enigma Variations and the Pomp and Circumstance Marches. Seen here sitting in a chair with a book on his knee
