Anastasia Bitsenko going to Brest-Litovsk peace meeting

Anastasia Bitsenko (also spelt Biecenko and Bizenko) in a motor car on the way to the peace negotiations which led to the signing of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk on 3rd March 1918 between the Central Powers headed by Germany and newly-Bolshevik Russia, marking the end of Russia's involvement in World War One. Bitsenko was one of the Soviet delegates. On 5th December 1905, she had shot and killed the former war minister Viktor Sakharov but was sentenced to imprisonment rather than death for the assassination
