Guests of Cafe Kranzler on the terrace, 1937
In the foreground stands a hotel doorman. The first Cafe Kranzler in Berlin was opened in 1825 by Johann Georg Kranzler as a small pastry shop in the street Unter den Linden in Berlin Mitte. In 1932 he opened the second branch in the former Cafe des Westens under the name Restaurant und Konditorei Kranzler in the Joachimstaler Strasse (today Joachimsthaler Strasse) in the district Charlottenburg. Both buildings were destroyed during air raids in the years 1944 and 1945
