Rescue of Robert McClure during his unsuccessful Arctic expedition to discover the fate of the Franklin expedition of 1845. McClure and his crew were locked in by pack ice aboard the HMS Investigator, when they were rescued by men from HMS Resolute. Seen here is Lieutenant Pim from the Resolute, meeting McClure and his first lieutenant
