The playing fields of Rugby School, where the game of Rugby football was allegedly started when a pupil (William Webb Ellis) picked up the ball and ran with it during a school football match in 1823. Rugby School is a day and boarding co-educational independent school in Rugby, Warwickshire, England. It is one of the oldest independent schools in Britain
