Beijing Students Arrested for Speeches In Support

On June 3rd and 4th, a large number of Beijing students took the streets and gave speeches in support of the May Fourth Movement, they were oppressed by military police, some thousand people were arrested, this spurred anger amongst people from the whole country. The May Fourth Movement was a Chinese anti-imperialist, cultural, and political movement that grew out of student protests in Beijing on May 4, 1919
